Creating any sort of printed material requires a lot of work from a lot of people. You have the writers who write the material, artists who submit
lots of work -- In a 65 page book there can be as many as 25 or 30 interior illustrations alone -- and the editing crew who makes sure that all the
"t"s are crossed and the "i"s are dotted. That's just on the production end, then the game has to be playtested many many times to iron out all the
potential bugs that can arise because players do things that GMs, and writers, never expect. It's that old saying, "You can lead a player to water,
but you can't make them think it's not poisoned."
We here at Firestorm Ink are always looking for more people to help with the Artwork, Writing, Editing and
Playtesting of new material. If you think that you'd like to work with us in one of these areas just click on the links at the top of the page to jump
down to any information we have on the jobs in question.
Artists
We are currently looking for artists to submit artwork for CyberGeneration. The work is all done on a job to job basis, so if we have work for you
(which we have plenty of) then we'll send you some information and you return the illustrations.
To help out with artwork send a message to artsubmissions@firestorm-ink.com.
In your message it should include your name, a brief introduction, your preferred medium (ink, pencil, watercolour, digital, etc.), and a few samples
of your work or a way to access samples of your work such as an online gallery). Resumes are not needed but do help.
If you want a copy of the artists contract you can [Download it
Here]. This is just so you can understand the terms involved, so please DO NOT send a signed contract unless you are asked to by the editorial staff.
Writers
We are currently looking for writers interested in writing for CyberGeneration. We need people who have ideas for original source material, adventure
books as well as an ability to write with other people and are keen to see the CyberGeneration product expand.
If you are interested then send a message to editor@firestorm-ink.com. In your
message you should include your name, a brief introduction, and a sample or a way to access samples of your work (of at least 1,000 words). We are currently
accepting unsolicited manuscripts for review and appraisal. However, there are many reasons a manuscript can be turned down, including the material
being too similar to projects we are currently working on.
Editors
We are not looking for any editors at this time. If you are interested in editing keep returning to this page, and when this status changes we will
post the information pertaining to our requirements here.
Playtesters & Playtesting
Playtesting groups, large or small are always welcome. If you are interested in having your group become a playtest group for CyberGeneration, our
upcoming flagship product The Awesome System or any of our other products currently in development then
merely e-mail playtesting@firestorm-ink.com. In your message you should
include your name, how many people are in your group as well as a brief bit of text explaining why you want to playtest one of our products.
Please understand that while it sounds like fun (and it is), playtesting is also a lot of work. Firestorm Ink expects detailed notes on each
playtest session to enhance our fine-tuning process. Please do not apply for a playtesting role within Firestorm Ink if you have no intention of taking it
seriously and providing the detailed information that will only help to make our products better gaming experiences for
our fans.
